Barge Unloading Project
This project included the design of a new pipe bridge to unload liquid from barges on the Mississippi River. Orbital worked with local, state and Army Corp to obtain the permit for the new barge unloading system. Design included new bridge, foundation, piping, stair towers and tie-ins to the existing systems. The bridge design had to take into account a 54 ½ feet river elevation change.
