230/34 kV Substation
Orbital provided the design and engineering to upgrade three 230 kV line terminals including their associated equipment, relays, controls and metering. Equipment upgrades include 180 kV line terminal surge arrestors, 230 kV line terminal motor operated disconnect (MODs) switches, 230 kV breaker disconnect switches, 230 kV CCVTs, 230 kV wave traps and 230 kV CCVTs with carrier accessories. Relay and control upgrades included SEL -501, SEl-3530, Power Com PCM-5350 and SATEC PM174 line meters. Deliverables included revised Power One-Line diagrams, relay schematics, wiring diagrams, conduit and cable schedules, control panel upgrades, equipment plans, sections and details, steel plans and details and foundation plans and details.
