Plant Pipe Rack Repairs & Replacement

Project at a major refinery in the Southeast to design and install helical piles and new structural pipe rack steel to replace existing wood timber piles and steel members on the primary pipe rack transporting refined product from the process units out to the nearby ship loading docks.  The project scope included design of over 450 new helical piles and associated pipe rack bents from concept through detailed engineering and construction coordination.  Orbital provided a custom solution that avoided demolition or removal of the existing timber racks and allowed construction to occur without a shutdown of the facility.
