Orbital provides its clients with access to engineering and technical staff to help leverage the cost of human resources with long-term relationships. Whether onsite staff is needed for capital improvement projects or support for maintenance or turnaround/outage, our professionals will integrate closely with your existing teams and provide an extension of your onsite staff.

Our field inspection personnel have extensive experience in support of operations and maintenance integrity inspections of existing facilities with expertise in process safety management, rotating and other equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation, structures, fireproofing, and other plant infrastructure. Orbital’s Condition Based Risk Management Program for structures and fireproofing integrate our 50 years of structural inspection and 50 years of structural retrofit design experience into a cost-effective program to help manage plant-wide structural defects or corrosion.

We have experience at onsite management of engineering documents in Drawing Vaults for large industrial facilities including refineries, chemical plants and steel mills. Our drawing control functions include: checking out and delivering drawings, drafting changes to drawings based on our clients’ (or our) design changes; receiving and re-filing drawings; walkdowns, markups and drafting of changes to P&ID’s; reworking P&ID’s for consistency, and CAD standard changes.

We also provide inspections, with use of Drones and Robotics, and develop maintenance engineering solutions to help our clients’ operations run smoothly, efficiently and safely. In addition, we are qualified to design and inspect fall protection systems, and to assess and redesign working walking surfaces, ladders, cages and other plant safety systems.
