Finishing & Coating

Orbital’s engineering knowledge in finishing and coating processes has enabled us to successfully complete a substantial number and variety of projects in recent years. From slab handling and re-heat furnaces through laminar cooling, finishing mills and coiling, we have been engaged in many aspects of the hot strip mill process. Recent projects in cold reduction include temper mill additions and fume exhaust system installations. Our pickle line expertise is substantial and includes completed and on-going projects such as electrostatic oilers, acid handling systems, looper repairs and technical equipment reviews. Additional specialty projects recently completed are induction melter installations, stainless steel tin and chrome structure rebuilds and surface inspection system installations.
